The advent of Spring brings blossoms of cherry, apricot, peach, pear, plum and apple trees in the surrounding orchards. Kelowna’s Official Flower, the ‘Okanagan Sunflower’, showers the mountainsides with a golden haze and brings out hikers, bikers and golfers galore.
In 2007, Kelowna was named the “Best Canadian Golf City” by SCOREGolf, Canada’s largest golf magazine. Kelowna offers one of the longest and driest golf seasons in Canada. Golfers of every ability will enjoy the variety of the Okanagan’s 40+ golf courses.

Lake Okanagan, over 100 kilometres long, is dotted with numerous beaches, waterfalls, and trails. You’ll love Mission Creek Greenway. 22 kilometres long from the shores of Okanagan Lake to Mission Creek Falls, the Creek is well-travelled year round by walkers, hikers, runners, bicyclists, and equestrians.
An hour’s drive from our legendary champagne powder skiing, Big White and Silver Star Ski Resorts boast short lift lines and uncrowded slopes. Nearby Crystal Mountain and Apex Mountain offer other ski and snowboard choices.
